An operation by technicians from the Sardinian Alpine and Speleological Rescue team to recover a tourist injured in the Riu is Alonis area, in the municipality of Morgongiori, concluded during the night between Sunday and Monday.
The Alpine Rescue Operations Centre was activated by the 118 Operations Centre in Cagliari following a request for help from a twenty-six-year-old Austrian national , belonging to an organised group, who was the victim of a fall following the detachment of a boulder while bouldering , a climbing discipline which takes place on boulders or walls of limited height.

The young man suffered a suspected fracture to his ankle and arm, requiring emergency medical services . A team of four technicians on active duty responded immediately to the scene, supported by five additional technicians from the Medio Campidano, Cagliari, Nuoro, and Iglesias stations.

The man was stabilized and placed in a stretcher, then transported in a stretcher and entrusted to the medical staff of the Ales Outpatient Clinic ambulance for subsequent transport to the hospital.

Also present were personnel from the Fire Brigade and the Flema Soccorso ambulance of San Nicolò D'Arcidano.
