Mores, 2,600 cannabis plants and illegal connection to the water network: on trial

Almost three kg of marijuana found by the Carabinieri in the Mores countryside in 2022.

A discovery that led to the investigation of three people for production and possession of narcotics, a 44-year-old from Nuoro and two from Ozieri, aged 42 and 41.

Yesterday in the court in Sassari, before the preliminary hearing judge Gian Paolo Piana, the preliminary hearing was held which saw the 44-year-old, defended by the lawyer Antonio Siffu, choose the abbreviated trial while the others, assisted by the lawyer Luciano Rubattu, will go to trial.

The military had found 2600 cannabis plants in the countryside, irrigated through an illegal connection, made by tampering with the meter, to the water network of the Consorzio Bonifica del Nord Sardegna.

The organization has filed a civil action and is being defended by lawyers Sergio Milia and Maria Claudia Pinna.
