There was a huge scare this morning in Monserrato, near the "Caracalla" metro station. A tram collided with a van that, according to initial reconstructions, apparently failed to stop at a red light. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

ARST technicians are on site to return the train to the tracks and resume regular services. Currently, the company states, "tram service is limited to the Vesalio-Repubblica and Policlinico-San Gottardo lines, while regular service is available on the San Gottardo-Settimo San Pietro line until further notice."

Meanwhile, traffic was at a standstill on Via Caracalla, with local police officers arriving to direct traffic.
