Bad road accident this morning on state road 131, near Monastir, direction Sassari. For reasons still being investigated, two cars collided: one of these, a pickup truck, overturned and was destroyed on impact.

Inside the cars involved there were only the two drivers, without other passengers, who are seriously injured . On site the 118 staff with ambulances for first aid: they were transported to the hospital, in red code, respectively to the Brotzu hospital and the Policlinico of Monserrato. Also present were the firefighters, the Anas and the Highway Police.

The accident occurred around 7:30, shortly after the junction for the entrance to Monastir and on the opposite side to the speed camera. One of the two lanes in the direction of Sassari was closed to traffic for several hours: traffic slowed down heavily all morning , with long queues that also affected the access roads to Monastir.
