Seventy of the migrants staying at the Lampedusa hotspot were transferred to Cagliari by military plane.
It was ordered by the prefecture of Agrigento, in agreement with the interior ministry.
At the moment, 1,541 guests remain in the very first reception structure, compared to just under 400 places available.
