New release, after yesterday's premiere for Sunday mass, for the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella in Alghero.
The Head of State today went to the Passionist church at 11 for the Eucharistic celebration on the occasion of the Assumption of Mary.
Against all odds (everyone thought he was going to the Cathedral), Mattarella chose the church of Santa Maria Goretti , in the southern part of the town, towards Bosa. Yesterday, however, he had chosen the parish of Nostra Signora della Guardia, in the hamlet of Guardia Grande, not far from the air force guesthouse where he is staying for the holidays that should last at least until Sunday 21 August.
Tonight, after dinner time, Mattarella could follow the traditional Alghero fireworks show for Ferragosto, from a boat in the harbor , in front of the port.
