For two years he will not be able to enter or approach public places in Masullas. For a 57-year-old, who last January attacked a fellow countryman in a bar, the so-called “daspo Willy” was triggered, issued by the police chief of Oristano at the request of the Carabinieri.

The provision, notified in recent days by the commander of the Mogoro company Enrico Concas, comes after the judge had ordered house arrest with an electronic bracelet for the 57-year-old (already known to the police).

The facts date back to January 19th when in a bar in Masullas, the 57-year-old had attacked another customer for trivial reasons.

First a few words too many, then it got down to business and, according to what was reconstructed during the investigation thanks to the cameras and the testimonies of other people present at the time of the fight, "the man allegedly attacked the victim lying on the ground with punches and kicks", according to a note from the force. The man was immediately stopped by the Carabinieri, then in February, at the request of the prosecutor, the investigating judge ordered house arrest with an electronic bracelet "in light of the dangerousness and seriousness of the facts contested".

The 57-year-old, assisted by lawyer Rita Violante, has always maintained that he intervened in defense of the barmaid.
