The two Olbiesi arrested in July 2021 by the Finance Police after the discovery of 857 kilos of marijuana inflorescences in a shed in the countryside of Telti were sentenced today by the court of Tempio: six years of imprisonment for AC, and 8 months for FM ( in whose availability the shed was included).

Of the 857 kg of marijuana found as part of the “Ferry Flower” operation , only 150 were later classified as an illegal product.

AC was also associated with the maxi drug seizure, who had been arrested two months earlier at the port of Livorno with a load of 18 kg of marijuana inflorescences. And from that fact the Prosecutor of Labron had extended its investigations in Sardinia by searching various places until it found the mega drug depot in Telti.

The prosecutor had asked for more severe penalties against the two accused: 7 and a half years for AC - defended by the lawyer Antonello Desini - and 4 years for FM, defended by Marzio Altana.

“We await the reasons for the sentence, but as regards my client, I can say that we will certainly appeal. My client is a stranger to the marijuana found in the shed, and he was cleared by the other person, ”Desini said.
