The CAM (Death Ascertainment Commission) has ordered the San Francesco Hospital in Nuoro to disconnect the life support equipment used by Marco Muredda, the motorcyclist from Sedilo who was involved in a dramatic accident on Sunday along State Road 129, in the Su Berrinau area.

The 37-year-old was hospitalized in the intensive care unit in desperate conditions due to the very serious head trauma he suffered in the crash.

Since his arrival at San Francesco, the clinical picture had appeared extremely critical and the doctors had maintained a reserved prognosis, subjecting him to mechanical ventilation and all the necessary treatments.

Muredda, well-known and respected in Sedilo, vice president of the Santu Antinu association, was involved in organizing the Ardia and also appreciated for his work in the large-scale retail sector between Macomer and Siniscola.

The accident occurred on Sunday morning along State Road 129, between Macomer and Nuoro.

According to an initial reconstruction, Muredda was traveling towards Nuoro on his Ducati when, exiting a curve, he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed violently into the guard rail. Passing motorists provided initial aid, and the emergency medical service then dispatched him to the hospital. The Ottana Carabinieri are continuing their investigations to reconstruct the exact details of the accident.
