A decisive week for the future of the municipal administration of Maracalagonis . The mayor Francesca Fadda , after having eliminated the executive, begins the consultations saying she is convinced that she has a majority and therefore can continue until the end of the legislature scheduled for 2026 .

Meanwhile, Mayor Fadda herself declares in a document that "at the conclusion of a series of political, administrative and personal reflections conducted in recent weeks, I have decided to withdraw the delegations to the councilors in office and to reset the Council. A step that I considered indispensable to fully verify the real and sincere willingness to complete the renewal program that the electorate has rewarded. As Mayor, I announce a decision that in fact sanctions the opening of dialogue, clarity and responsibility".

The mayor concludes by saying that " we still have a year and three months of electoral mandate and very hard work ahead of us and we cannot allow ourselves pauses, uncertainties, mistakes . And again: there is a need for a choral and united effort, free from partisan egoism, to allow the administration to reap the fruits of the work done so far and to hit the strategic objectives within the established timeframes. A notable effort that I believe as Mayor evidently also needs a fine-tuning to continue on its path".

Meanwhile, as is known, former councilor Antonio Melis has announced his decision to leave the majority and that he is already working on presenting a list with him as mayoral candidate for the next elections.

"Following this statement of mine - he explains - I will not accept any councilor delegation; I will remain in the City Council, but I will no longer be part of this majority. The electoral campaign in view of the next municipal elections for me has officially begun today; as I have already had the opportunity to say and communicate on other occasions, I am already working with friends for the presentation of a municipal civic list that will see me exposed in first person as a candidate for Mayor. For now I say only one thing to the people of Mare: do not be afraid and be brave".
