Man arrested in Capoterra, attempts to set fire to a mattress and harasses his mother

Domestic abuse in Capoterra.
The Carabinieri station responded urgently to a frantic call for help from a pensioner who had just been attacked by her cohabiting son.
The officers encountered a particularly critical situation: the 48-year-old unemployed man, at the height of an argument, was attempting to start a fire by setting fire to a mattress inside the home. Fortunately, the incident ended without any injuries.
The victim found the strength to file a complaint, describing to the military a painful domestic situation. According to the complaint, since November of last year she had been systematically subjected to repeated psychological harassment, constant threats, and insistent requests for money from her son. The military reassured the victim, providing her with all the information and contact information needed to contact anti-violence centers and activating the protections provided in these delicate situations.
The man, however, was arrested on charges of mistreatment of family members. After completing the formalities at the police station, he was taken to Uta prison.
