A Nigerian man, resident in the municipality of Turin, was arrested in Sassari for drug trafficking.

The man was stopped in the city on November 27th and taken to the hospital on suspicion of concealing drugs. Medical tests revealed that the foreign national had 10 ova in his intestines, which were later recovered within a day.

Investigations by the Police Flying Squad confirmed that the man arrived in Sardinia on a flight from Milan and that the drugs were destined for buyers in the capital city of Sassari.

Forensic analysis confirmed the seized cocaine to be of excellent quality. The suspect was taken to Bancali prison.
