Malnourished dogs, left for days without clean water and food, locked in small cages and tied with chains that were too short, less than a meter long.
This morning, the blitz by the Carabinieri of the Temporary Station of Flumini di Quartu took place in Sinnai, in the Villaggio delle Mimose, where they seized and secured the two animals and reported two elderly people.
The investigation by the men of the Arma started from some reports from citizens and from information collected during normal territorial control services. When they intervened, the Carabinieri were able to verify the serious conditions of abandonment in which the animals were left, in a courtyard in disastrous hygienic-sanitary conditions, with broken windows and a very precarious shelter made of eternit.
The two perpetrators, an 83-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman, retired residents of Burcei, were reported for animal cruelty.
