Another fire was set inside a CPR block by residents, who then staged a protest. The protest was reportedly quelled by the intervention of law enforcement.

The events reportedly occurred a few days ago. The "No CPR Macomer" assembly denounced the incident in a document, which states: "It is not uncommon for the desperation of inmates inside CPRs to lead them to extreme measures, such as attempting to burn down their cells. We know that some have had to seek treatment in the Nuoro emergency room. Some of them have gone on hunger strike. The burned-out block has been emptied, and some inmates have been transferred to other blocks, some to other CPRs."

Police reported a fire, with smoke spreading throughout the entire block. Law enforcement officers, along with firefighters and emergency responders, had to intervene.

The statement from No Cpr Macomer continues with other serious allegations about what is happening at the center, for which, for the umpteenth time, its closure is being called for.
