Almost two years after the murder of Luca Goddi, which occurred in early August 2023 in a square in Orune, an arrest was made this morning that could represent a turning point in the case.

The operation was conducted by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of Nuoro, on the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office, at the end of an intense and complex investigative activity that never stopped .

The arrested man is suspected of being directly involved in the ambush that cost the life of the young man from Oruno, killed by gunshots in the middle of town, while he was driving in front of a bar.

The crime, committed in a public place and in broad daylight, had deeply shaken the entire Barbagia community, arousing dismay and fear. Since then, investigations have focused on trying to reconstruct the victim's relationships and identify a possible motive, examining leads ranging from personal disagreements to local criminal dynamics.
