Fear off the coast of the Municipality of Siniscola.
A large pleasure boat, about 24 meters long, caught fire in the night three miles from Capo Comino and sank.
The four people on board were rescued and transferred to the Sar Cp 802 patrol boat of the Olbia Harbor Master's Office based in the port of Caletta. For the recovery of the boat adrift in flames, the owner had hired a qualified company but the operation was unsuccessful.
The fire brigade arrived on the spot with motorboats, divers and the team from the Siniscola detachment. The flames were now too high, the vessel sank and settled on a depth of about 40 meters.
The investigations by the Harbor Master's Office are in progress to trace the causes of the fire that broke out on board.
