Flour, other foods. And ten kilos of cocaine, in one kilo pats. It was all inside a refrigerated truck, driven by a sixty-two year old from Nuoro, who landed this morning at Isola Bianca, the port of Olbia. The soldiers of the canine units of the Guardia di Finanza discovered the drug load.

They were on the quay, busy monitoring the vehicles that were getting off the Moby Wonder that had just arrived from Livorno, when they noticed that the truck was carrying out maneuvers that seemed aimed at avoiding checks. So they stopped him.

They had been right. Drug sniffer dogs Betty and Holiver immediately picked up the scent of the large amount of drugs, which was found in the outside box of the truck trailer.

It was pure cocaine: according to estimates by the Fiamme Gialle, once placed on the market it would have yielded over two million euros . The truck driver was arrested on charges of drug trafficking: from the port he was transferred directly to the prison in Tempio.
