It ended with a flying kick and punches, given by a resident and suffered by a foreigner, followed by final collective insults, an argument that started last night on the beach of Cala Lunga di Porto Massimo, in La Maddalena . And it is not excluded that there may be further aftermath.

It all started when the swimmers noticed a dinghy, the tender of a yacht moored in the harbor, which was approaching the beach with the engine running. On board there were two who appeared to be crew members: according to testimonies, they had to recover a woman and some children on land, to bring them back to the luxurious boat.

But what they were doing was not regular: without a lane, you can't get close to the shore. At least in a coast like that, hyperconstrained.

From the shore, someone tried to make it clear to whoever was on the dinghy. But they continued, regardless of the protests. When the vehicle hit the sand, one of the women present, a resident of La Maddalena, left with a heavy rebuke. One of the foreigners (apparently they were French), who meanwhile had swum to the beach, instead of apologizing or justifying himself, pushed her.

Problem: the screams attracted the attention of the woman's husband, who had left to return home. The man didn't think twice: he took a run up arriving to deliver a violent flying kick to the opponent, who ended up in the water, where he continued to take them.

At that point, others present and the other crew member intervened to separate the contenders. «You touched my wife, piece of me…a», the little Maddalena shouted twice. The front of the bathers has become compact. And everyone helped to drive away, among the insults, the occupants of the dinghy, who will remember this Sardinian stay for a long time, with contempt of the rules.

«Unfortunately I have to note a particular rudeness on the part of foreign tourists», comments Francesco Vittiello, who manages the seaside resort at the wreck, «too often the English, Germans and French arrive in our sea and do not respect the rules. Monitoring almost 200 kilometers of coast in La Maddalena is not easy», he admits, «the Coast Guard is doing its best, but the means are few. And some, as happened yesterday, take justice into their own hands».
