New stringent safety measures in the waters of the Piscine di Venere in Baunei after the accident that cost the life of Marina Masia , the 28-year-old overwhelmed by a large trunk of holm oak while swimming near the collapsed rock ridge on Friday afternoon.

An ordinance from the Olbia coast guard was delivered to all the harbor master's offices in the ports of the Gulf of Orosei - Arbatax, Santa Maria Navarrese, Cala Gonone and La Caletta - and to the shipping companies that transport tourists to the coves, with the prohibition to approach the ridge overlooking the sea, both for boats and for people, up to a distance of 30 meters.

«Navigation and bathing as well as any other activity connected to the public use of the sea are forbidden, up to a distance of 30 meters from the coast, in the body of water facing the rock wall surmounting the pools of Venus», reads the ordinance.

The municipal administration of Baunei will also have to intervene: "The municipality of Baunei ensures the installation, on the ground, of suitable signs bearing this prohibition and takes care of its posting near all the passenger embarkation points present on its own coast jurisdiction - the provision continues - the Municipality also provides for the installation in the sea of a clearly visible floating tarozzato cable and / or red or orange buoys, in a position such as to indicate the limit of the aforementioned prohibition ".

"The signs on the ground on the risk of landslides and the cable tarozzato in the water are already present, but this provision protects and makes people's safety and security more effective - said the mayor of Baunei Stefano Monni - As an administration we will place new signs again more visible that warn people of the danger of the ridge. Such tragedies must never happen again .'
