Insularity, Fico da Cagliari: "Good chances for a green light to the bill by the end of the term"

“An extraordinary woman, the only Italian to have won the Nobel Prize for Literature, a great national pride”. Thus the President of the Chamber Roberto Fico in Cagliari for the celebrations in the Regional Council of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Grazia Deledda. "A woman who has told her land in an extraordinary way, this poignant and beautiful Sardinia, a sort of first feminist revolutionary, an example for all of us".
The third state office also reassured on the process of the bill for the inclusion of the principle of Insularity in the Constitution: "The law is in commission, I agree that these problems are solved and that this provision will lead to the first possible in the Chamber for its approval ". Green light before the end of the Legislature? "Many groups agree and there is no doubt a good chance for approval by the end of the legislature."
"I assure the maximum attention of the Parliament towards the issues concerning the particular conditions of Sardinia", added the President of the Chamber Roberto Fico. "It is confirmed - he specified - the approval in the Senate in the first resolution of the constitutional bill, of popular initiative, on insularity: the provision is now being examined by the competent committees of the Chamber which are carefully evaluating its contents" .
Fico also specified that "in coherence with my role, I do not intend to comment on the merits of the proposal, but I can only share the ultimate goal of ensuring social and territorial cohesion and solidarity in our country, primary conditions for removing, in coherence with the constitution, the unacceptable imbalances between the regions and to favor the effective enjoyment of the rights of the person ".

THE DECLARATION OF MICHELE COSSA
"President Fico on the occasion of his first institutional visit to Sardinia wanted to confirm the commitment made at the meeting on November 17", the statement by Michele Cossa, president of the Special Commission for insularity.
"He did so with the usual institutional grace but clearly underlining the value of the constitutional reform that started in Sardinia, and hoping for its rapid approval".
"On behalf of the Promoting Committee - concludes Cossa - I express deep gratitude to the Speaker of the Chamber. All that remains is to hope that - thanks also to the commitment of the Sardinian deputies - the process in committee will be concluded quickly, and that the text will quickly arrive in classroom for the second, decisive passage ".
