The military of the Alghero Maritime District Office recovered and seized 327 “outlaw” cylindrical pots, positioned in the partial reserve area “C” of the Capo Caccia Marine Protected Area.

The seizure took place as part of the ongoing surveillance activities of the Marine Protected Area.

The CP 871 patrol boat and the GC B 25 boat, with the support of the Marine Protected Area personnel, transported the pots to the park headquarters.

The pots, with iron and plastic armor, were connected to each other in the stretch of water of the Porto Conte Bay.

The Coast Guard soldiers also identified those responsible, fined for a total of 2,344 euros. All the fish still alive have been returned to the sea.
