He walked around at night, in the area of a petrol station on Viale Monastir in Cagliari, carrying on foot - and with great difficulty - a garden sofa.

The Radiomobile police found the situation completely anomalous - as it was not about shopping or moving times - and stopped him to ask him what he was doing. The 32-year-old, originally from Tempio Pausania but effectively homeless, had stolen the furniture shortly before from the Maury's shopping centre, and had stopped to rest after the great effort.

The sofa was returned and the man reported for aggravated theft.
