In Sardinia, infections down by 21% in 7 days, but Oristano is still the "black jersey" in Italy by incidence
Basically stable situation in the island's hospitals: intensive unchanged, pressure on medical areas decreasing

The decline, which has now lasted for four weeks, continues in the new cases of Covid-19 registered in Italy. A descent that, according to the new monitoring of the Gimbe Foundation, however, suffered a slowdown during the last week: from 16 to 22 February there were in fact 349,122 new infections with a -20.6% recorded compared to -32% of the previous week.
In Sardinia in the week from 16 to 22 February there was a worsening performance for currently positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants (2,202), but there was a decrease in new cases (-21.7%) compared to the previous week.
Oristano, in particular, is confirmed as the province with the highest weekly incidence in Italy of Covid cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, at 1,965. As regards the other Sardinian provinces in South Sardinia, the figure is 729, followed by Cagliari (649), Sassari (596) and Nuoro (509).
In Italy there are currently 5 provinces with an incidence of more than 1,000 weekly cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 inhabitants: after Oristano (1,965), Reggio di Calabria (1,216), Syracuse (1,215), Fermo (1,022) and Vibo follow. Valentia (1.006).
IN HOSPITALS - The pressure of the Covid-19 epidemic on hospitals is constantly decreasing at the country level. In the last 7 days, both the trend of reduction of beds occupied by Covid patients in medical departments (-16.2%) and that of the reduction of intensive care places (-19.9%) are stable.
In Sardinia, the data referring to today's Agenas day speaks of a stability in the percentage of beds occupied by Covid patients in intensive care (13%), but of a reduction to 22% (-1%) as regards employment in the area medical.
