A mysterious accident occurred last night after 10:00 PM on the 131 DCN highway just after Ottana, where a BMW 1 Series overturned and ended up in the middle of the road. The accident occurred at kilometer marker 28. Passing motorists raised the alarm when they found their way blocked by the overturned car.

When emergency responders arrived on the scene, including ambulances, firefighters, and police, a worrying detail emerged: no one was inside the car. There was no sign of the driver. A search was immediately launched in the surrounding area, fearing that the driver might have been thrown from the car and ended up in a ditch at the side of the road.

No traces of blood were found inside the car, however. As the search continued, rescuers worked to locate the vehicle's owner and determine whether it had been stolen. Several hypotheses are being explored to clarify what happened along the 131 DCN. A similar incident occurred ten days ago, this time on the 131 DIR, not far from Macomer, where the alarm was raised for a serious accident. Rescuers, in that case too, found the car partially destroyed but no driver.
