In Macomer the glories of the past to try to face the crisis

Recalling Sardinia's first Energy disc, with only one password: leave again. Rebuilding Macomer before the great crisis that closed the factories and commercial activities is the intent of the organizers of an important initiative, which will be held next Saturday at the intermodal center , with musical events, and which will see Sardinian artists of yesterday and today, but above all those who, 30 years ago, started the first largest summer disco on the island in Macomer, the Energy disco of Caffè Umberto , which made history in the music and club scene in Sardinia.

A historic place, which died in the nineties, due to the great crisis that made the factories and subsequently many commercial activities closed in the town.

Caffè Umberto was the meeting point of a generation of young people, between the 80s and 90s. Next Saturday, during the event to be held at the Maart City Heart Intermodale (square of the two stations), those years will be retraced by the protagonists, with the old barmen, customers, many artists, DJs and musicians from all over the island . "An important evening, because it traces the history of Macomer over the last 30 years - says Marco Benevole, main protagonist -, which serves to remember and reflect on the golden years of our town. An event to try to restart and bring back to Macomer that atmosphere of many years ago, especially from a commercial point of view ".
