Illegal possession of weapons: two brothers of Jerzu in trouble

The carabinieri of the Jerzu Company arrested two local brothers, aged 31 and 39, on charges of illegal possession of weapons.

The investigations started after a complaint, presented to Osini, following a theft of equipment from a construction site.

The soldiers of the Operational Unit of the Jerzu Company, supported by colleagues from the local Squadron and from the Osini, Tertenia and Jerzu Stations, then carried out a search in the workshop used by the two brothers. No trace of the stolen goods removed in the yard. But during the check, a 9x21 caliber Glock pistol with magazine and serial number turned up, a handcrafted shotgun made of steel tubes and fully functional, as well as ten cartridges of different calibers.

All the material was seized for subsequent investigations, while the two brothers, as per the provisions of the Judicial Authority, were placed under house arrest.
