Another landslide occurred last night along the road from Iglesias to the hamlet of Nebida . This provincial road, due to heavy rains, has become a real hazard for motorists and anyone else traveling on it.

Just yesterday, as reported by L'Unione Sarda on newsstands today, the residents of Nebida reported this situation of constant danger, especially during the winter months. This is the fourth landslide reported today in less than two weeks. The area most exposed to the risk is called " Su passu mau, " and the rock, due to its particular geological composition, is prone to landslides , especially when rainfall is heavy and the water absorbed is large.

The Province also ordered an initial safety intervention yesterday and announced its readiness to address this long-standing problem as soon as the bad weather allows a break. "We are aware of the serious problem on that stretch of road leading to Nebida," said Roads Councilor Sasha Sais , "and we are planning targeted, functional, and effective interventions for a lasting solution."
