Hunting accident on the Limbara for a 29 year old Tempiese.
The young man, late this morning, found himself face to face with a large wild boar which overwhelmed and attacked him . It happened during a big game hunting trip.
The victim of the accident was urgently transferred to hospital in Tempio, where he was entrusted to the emergency room doctors for a wound to his calf and a cut to his hand. Numerous stitches were required.
According to what was found by the doctors at the Paolo Dettori hospital, the wounds are the result of the wild boar's attack.
The animal, which had been wounded by a hunter, continued its run and the 29-year-old, positioned in a crossing point to divert the wild boar's run, suddenly found it on top of him. The man tried to defend himself with a billhook. In addition to the gash on his calf, caused by a fang, the young man also suffered a deep cut on his hand, the result of a bite.
Another hunter, who witnessed the scene, could not help but kill the boar . The injured man's condition is good. Timely aid avoided complications.
