Moments of fear this afternoon in Maracalagonis , in via Alcide De Gasperi, where a fire destroyed the apartment of an elderly couple . A 77-year-old man was uninjured.

His wife, aged 69, suffered minor burns on her body. Despite the extent of the fire, the two managed to save themselves.

The firefighters are still on site, engaged in the extinguishing operation. The soldiers from the NORM of Quartu Sant'Elena and the Maracalagonis station also intervened and are collaborating with the fire brigade to ensure the safety of the area.
