He entered his ex-wife's house and tried to rape her. When she reacted, he beat her. The woman managed to escape, taking her little daughter with her, to seek refuge with friends. But he chased her. And to stop him, the intervention of the carabinieri with a taser was necessary, used but not before the man also attacked the soldiers.

Chaos and violence were unleashed last night in Elmas by a 45-year-old unemployed man. He is now facing charges of mistreatment of family members and cohabitants, attempted sexual assault, assault and resisting a public official, as well as damage.

And it wouldn't be the first time: in the past he was arrested for similar conduct and until May 30 he had been given the precautionary measure of a ban on approaching his ex-wife, with the application of electronic monitoring.

During the identification phases, the man allegedly put up a violent resistance, attacking the soldiers with kicks, punches and pushes. To bring the situation under control, the crew chief had to resort to the taser, "first warning the attacker with the activation of the electric arc and, subsequently, with the explosion of the cartridges, which allowed the otherwise unstoppable attacker to be neutralized", the Carabinieri explain.

The 118 operators assisted him and two carabinieri, who were diagnosed with injuries that were judged to heal in a few days.
