Alberto Melis, 21 years old, a young hero born from pain.

His life changed dramatically one morning fifteen years ago, when a tragic accident took his father away .

«It was the morning of the Immaculate Conception in 2008, my father woke me up to invite me to accompany him to cut some wood. On the way home in the afternoon, I fell asleep in the car. When I woke up, I was already out of the cockpit and there was a pool of blood under my feet . We crashed on the rocks in Santa Lucia, it was a damn heart attack that made my father lose control of the car."

But rather than succumb to the pain, Alberto chose a different path: dedicating himself to others. A few months ago, he became a Capoterra Soccorso volunteer, working 24 hours a day to help his community.

Her incredible resilience and inner strength are an example of how tragedy can transform into altruism, demonstrating that even in the most difficult situations it is possible to find meaning in helping others.
