A 51-year-old from Villacidro, under house arrest, ended up in handcuffs again after being caught by the police outside his home riding a stolen scooter.

The man was noticed by the military on the streets of the town, precisely in via San Gavino, aboard an old Piaggio Sì.

At the sight of the Carabinieri, the 51-year-old tried to flee at full speed, with risky maneuvers through the streets of the center, endangering the safety of passers-by, some of whom risked being run over.

The patrol, however, managed to intercept and block him. Then the "fugitive" was taken to the barracks and investigations were carried out, which revealed that the scooter had been stolen in 2015 and, as if that were not enough, the man was found in possession of several doses of marijuana.

In the end, the 51-year-old, who also received a report for drug possession, was once again placed under house arrest, and then taken to the Court in Cagliari for the validation hearing before the judge.
