A clumsy theft attempt that ended in nothing but for which the man, an unemployed man from Guspini , will now have to answer to the judiciary.
The 42-year-old, known to the police and already subjected to a personal prevention measure, entered the courtyard at the back of the "Lo Smile" bar on the evening of May 4 to try to access the club. He didn't succeed, so in order not to leave empty-handed, he took a beautiful historic Vespa Piaggio .
The vehicle, displayed to beautify the place, was out of fuel, so the 42-year-old pushed it with his arms with the intention of hiding it . But he couldn't handle the effort and, overcome by tiredness, he abandoned him in via San Nicolò , where the owner of the restaurant, a 32-year-old who filed a complaint, found him.
The episode took place on 4 May and the carabinieri, having concluded the investigations which mainly made use of witnesses, reported it.
