Federico Baroni , the singer influencer from Rimini for whom the Sassari Prosecutor's Office had requested indictment for having poached two groupers in the protected marine area of Capo Caccia , in Alghero, and then bragged about the stunt on social media, will not go to process .

This morning the thirty-year-old , assisted by the Gamberini law firm of Bologna, appeared before the preliminary hearing judge of the Court of Sassari , who accepted the defense's request for probation and compensation for damages of 600 euros which will be paid to the protected marine area.

The disputed facts date back to the summer of 2022: Baroni and a friend were spending their holidays in Sardinia and on social media they had published videos of fishing for two groupers with an underwater rifle in the sea of the Capo Caccia Park, a natural reserve area where fishing is prohibited sport fishing. Prey which was then sold to a local restaurateur.

The environmentalists of the Legal Intervention Group denounced the influencer's marine performances , who after having seen the video (viewed by around 100 thousand people), had sent a complaint to the Prosecutor's Office of Sassari, Forestry Corps, Coast Guard, Municipality of Alghero and to the special park management company, indicating the video as a real "self-report".

Grig, represented by lawyers Guido Rimini and Carlo Augusto Melis Costa, had asked to be a civil party in the criminal proceedings; request that falls, given that Baroni will not go to trial.

In September, again before the Sassari preliminary hearing judge, Baroni's friend will have to appear: the Prosecutor's Office has also asked for him to be sent to trial.
