An autopsy will not be performed on the body of little Gioele Putzu – the 9-year-old boy who was hit and killed last Saturday by the collapse of a soccer goal in the municipal sports field in the San Nicola neighborhood of Ozieri. An external examination of the body will be held this morning at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, which will also undergo a CT scan to obtain further information on the causes of death.

According to the reconstruction, the little boy, finding the gates open, entered the field to play with a kite together with two friends. While running, he hit one of the mobile soccer goals, the kind usually used during training. The goal then collapsed, overwhelming him. The police, 118 and the firefighters arrived on the scene. For over an hour, doctors tried to keep the little boy alive, who then died before his parents' eyes. After the tragedy, which shook the country, controversy erupted on the web over Fedez's concert, which was not stopped and went on shortly after, right near the site of the tragedy.

An event organized as part of the celebrations for the Blessed Virgin of Remedy and which Gioele himself was supposed to attend. After the attacks, the artist responded, explaining that he had asked the audience for a minute of silence before the performance began. But Gioele's father also lashed out against the rapper, accusing him of insensitivity. The child's uncle then closed the controversy by asking everyone to remain silent out of respect for their pain. The prosecutor's office and the carabinieri are now investigating to find any responsibilities among those who should have guaranteed the custody and safety of the sports field.
