After 11 years of suffering and surgery, justice arrives.

The Court of Appeal of Sassari has sentenced two people from Giave, a 45-year-old and a 48-year-old, to pay compensation for moral and physical damages, accused of very serious injuries to a 45-year-old man from Bonorva, and acquitted in the first instance with a doubtful formula. And if the crime has in the meantime expired, the civil court remains to be taken by the injured party, assisted by the lawyer Gianmarco Mura.

In August 2014, the victim went with a friend to Giave for a party, stopped at a bar and, after some time, an altercation arose for trivial reasons that ended with a chase outside and a physical fight. According to the accusations, the 45-year-old was hit by several punches, fell to the ground and received one or more kicks in the face. He lost consciousness, was hospitalized in Neurology where cerebral hemorrhages, a head trauma and multiple fractures to the skull, in addition to a deviated nasal septum, were found.

The 30 days of prognosis will become an additional 45 after the maxillofacial surgery to repair the damage. In the meantime, the proceedings continue and end, as written, with the acquittal and the formula of doubt. The lawyer's appeal reaches the second level of judgment and the sentence formulated by the Court presided over by Maria Teresa Lupinu, with Marina Capitta and Carmela Serra as co-counsel. The panel has ordered the payment of a provisional sum of 5 thousand euros and the legal costs. In the civil court, the request that will be formulated by the injured party will be around 50 thousand euros.
