Four days of nonstop searches and still no trace of Giacomo Solinas , the 39-year-old who vanished into thin air on the morning of Saturday 8 July , when he left his home and his family, not seeing him return, raised the alarm.

Today his travel bag was found and searches were concentrated there, especially in the wells around the Sedda Moddizzis mine . In the evening they were suspended and will resume with the first light of dawn.

Solinas was about to leave Gonnesa heading north to Sardinia to start a new job, but he never arrived at his destination.

A video camera, installed in a private house not far from via Don Minzoni, where the man lives with his parents, filmed him as he left at 9 last Saturday, dressed in a T-shirt and black trousers and with two pieces of luggage: a rucksack and a bag, the one that was found . Then other images were viewed, where Solinas can be seen getting into the car and returning after a quarter of an hour and then walking away without the bags. The car was found near the house.

Sister Giorgia again invites everyone to collaborate: " Help us find Giacomo, we ask anyone who may have seen him, or may have useful information, to let us know ".

The searches were directed by the Coordination Center set up near the municipal sports field; the technicians of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue, the Fire Brigade, the Forestry Corps, the Barracellare Company, volunteers from the Civil Protection of Gonnesa and the Shardana Dog Center participate.
