Heavy sentences are sought in the trial into an alleged child pornography ring in the north of the island . The case stems from a parent's complaint of sexual abuse of his eight-year-old son , which occurred in a small town in Alta Gallura.

Prosecutor Gilberto Ganassi of the Cagliari District Attorney's Office has requested a 12-year prison sentence for the man, accused of abusing his son and filming him, later circulating the footage throughout Italy . The investigation was opened following a complaint from the child's mother . The woman and her son have joined the proceedings as civil parties, assisted by lawyer Monica Liguori , in the ongoing proceedings before the Cagliari Court.

The prosecutor has requested a six-year prison sentence for another man who allegedly received photos and videos featuring the alleged victim of the abuse that occurred in the Gallura center .

The investigation, conducted by the Carabinieri of the Tempio Pausania unit, has already led to several arrests. The first, in the spring of last year, was that of the father of the child who was allegedly raped and filmed.

Also on trial is a woman accused of having sexual intercourse with the main suspect in front of their young daughter. The woman has been asked to serve an 18-month prison sentence.

We are talking about five minors who were victims of the crimes , two children who were civil parties against their parents, three files opened for the dissemination of the images and several adults before the judge.
