State road 198 "di Seui e Lanusei" has reopened, albeit partially, to traffic in the section affected by maintenance work in the municipality of Gairo, in Ogliastra.
This was announced by Anas, which has completed the main phase of the intervention, allowing the resumption of alternating one-way traffic, regulated by traffic lights, between km 79 and km 81.650.
The construction site, which was started for a thorough road redevelopment , is part of a €7 million project aimed at improving the safety and accessibility of the road, which is essential for internal connections in Ogliastra.
The work is not yet complete: in the coming weeks, the installation of crash barriers and roadwork will proceed.
The full reopening of the stretch, in both directions, is expected by mid-August, barring unforeseen circumstances.
