From Sarrabus to Gaza with the Global Sumud Flotilla, Marco Loi from Tunis: "Israel doesn't scare us."
A message from the Villaputzu activist on board: "I represent Sardinia, but there are 700 of us from all over the world. We're aware of the risks, but the threats won't stop us.""I represent Sardinia, but I'm surrounded by people from all over the world. We will try to break the siege and bring aid to the civilian population. Israel's threats won't stop us."
Marco Loi is the activist from Villaputzu who left the island to join the Global Sumud Flotilla, the group of boats with volunteers from 43 countries who have decided to break the naval blockade imposed by the Netanyahu government to starve the Palestinian population already massacred by the bombings. On board the boats are approximately 700 peace activists who are transporting food and basic necessities for the people of Gaza.
Loi stopped in Tunis, before boarding again and setting sail again on September 7, bound for the Strip.
"We are aware of the risks and threats the Israeli government poses to us," Loi adds, "but we know that its fear will not stop us."
