Sardinia, a land of welcome and new beginnings . Nine Palestinian students arrived in Alghero last night. They will continue their studies at the University of Sassari thanks to scholarships funded by the University, ERSU, and the Sardinia Region.
Regional President Alessandra Todde welcomed them with a warm welcome: "Here you won't just be visiting students, you'll be part of a community that understands the value of dignity, hospitality, and freedom."
" No young person should see their future thwarted by war ," Todde added, "and no one should be forced to choose between their homeland and the right to education ." She wished the nine students not only an educational path in Sardinia, but also a place to restart and grow. "I hope you find the strength to start over in Sardinia," the president concluded, "and that one day you can return to a war-free Palestine."
