After the discovery , which took place during the night, of the woman who was lost in the Monti dei 7 Fratelli, another emergency occurred late yesterday evening in Fluminimaggiore.

A man, a 56-year-old from Fluminimaggiore, left home and did not return. It may have made the path that leads from the inhabited center to Monte Argentu, but so far it has not been found.

From this morning the searches have been assisted by the Canine Unit for the search of the Alpine Rescue and by the helicopter of the Guardia di Finanza which in the morning flew over the area in the hope of identifying the missing person.

On site there were about 20 technicians from the stations of Iglesias, Medio Campidano, Cagliari and Sassari who, together with the other bodies, divided into teams, searched all the paths of Monte Argentu and the area of the mining area of Su Zurfuru.

Together with the Alpine and Speleological Rescue and the Carabinieri of Fluminimaggiore, also present were the Alpine Rescue personnel of the Guardia di Finanza, the Forestry Corps and Environmental Surveillance, the volunteers of the Civil Protection of Fluminimaggiore and Gonnesa and the Fire Brigade.

The Research Coordination Center, which will be managed jointly by the Alpine Rescue and the Fire Brigade, today set up near the Su Mannau Caves, will tomorrow be moved to the square at the headquarters of the Forestry and Environmental Surveillance Corps.
