First economic aid to the municipalities affected by the flood of 28 November 2020.

The Director General of Civil Protection, in his capacity as coordinator of the regional emergency, has in fact approved the intervention plan for an initial € 8,083,307.

This was announced by the Region, in a note, which reads: "The exceptional meteorological events that occurred on November 28, 2020, in addition to the territory of the Municipality of Bitti, also affected numerous other municipalities in Sardinia, causing significant damage to the public heritage, in particular to the extra-urban roads, to the roads of the Province of Nuoro and to school buildings ".

“After the regional government declared a state of regional emergency, pursuant to regional law no. 3/1989, the Regional Council established a fund, with an initial endowment of € 20,000,000, intended for the granting of grants in favor of local authorities for structural interventions for the reduction of residual risk and for the restoration of infrastructures and conditions security in the areas affected by the calamitous event ”, continues Villa Devoto.

“On June 1st, the regional council had established the distribution of resources between the Municipality of Bitti, recipient of 11,092,958.76 euros, and each of the other 45 local authorities affected by the flood.

At the conclusion of the preliminary investigation of the documentation sent by the aforementioned Municipalities, preparatory to the identification of the interventions that can be financed with the 8,907,041.24 euros currently available, with ordinance no. 16 of 16 September 2021

The Directorate General of Civil Protection - underlines the President of the Region, Christian Solinas - despite the continuous commitment in several emergencies, including fires in the Oristano area and support for the health emergency from COVID-19, is implementing the guidelines of the regional council with the financing of the interventions identified by local authorities following the flood event last year ".

"In the next few days - specifies Antonio Pasquale Belloi - the resources will be transferred to the 42 Municipalities and the 3 Provinces affected, as reimbursement of expenses already incurred or as a contribution for the interventions still to be carried out".

The Deputy Councilor for Civil Protection, Gianni Lampis specifies that "in application of the regional law n. advance or the entire amount assigned, if equal to or less than € 300,000 ".
