Bad fire today in Orune, in the "Costa su Conte" area.

The flames devastated two hectares of eucalyptus, riparian vegetation and tall Mediterranean maquis with olive and mastic trees.

The shutdown was coordinated by the staff of the Nuoro Forestry Corps Station with the support of a Canadair which took off from Olbia and assisted by the GAUF staff of the Nuoro CFVA.

The Canadair took off because, due to strong winds and adverse weather conditions, the helicopters of the regional fleet were unable to take off from their operational bases.

Three teams from the Forestas Agency from the Nuoro construction sites - Janna bentosa, Nuoro - Ugolio and Orune - Cuccumacche, two teams from the Nuoro firefighters and two teams of volunteers from the Nuoro associations - ORG VAB and Nuoro - Nuorese Protciv were on site.
