The first works on the highest road on the island, the Cossatzu-Tascusì, have been completed in recent days. They were carried out by a Desulese construction company, operating on the route for a few weeks. Works that are linked to the spending commitment announced a few months ago by the Province of Nuoro, with a 300,000 euro safety measure.

A real breath of fresh air for the arterial road. Located in the heart of Gennargentu, between the municipalities of Aritzo and Desulo, it had been in a state of total abandonment for decades. Now, also thanks to the release from seizure obtained by the Province (a judicial investigation was underway), the layout is taking shape again. A first but important step towards the definitive interventions of 6 million euros, promised by the regional councilorship for public works and for which construction sites are awaited to start.

The work, essential for the connection to Nuoro and beyond, is an important crossroads for the inhabitants of the Barbagie di Belvì, Seulo and Sarcidano. But also a real tourist attraction through breathtaking and unspoiled landscapes. In the meantime, the technicians recommend transit only to farmers operating in the area, as well as to moderate speeds.
