Bitti, fire in electrical cabin: hundreds of families without electricity

Flames in the electrical cabin, in the lower part of Bitti.

An internal component caught fire, disrupting the service and leaving 400 homes without power. The alarm was raised this morning around 7 am and immediately mobilized the E-Distribuzione operators and the Nuoro firefighters, who intervened to put out the flames and secure the area.

There is no damage to people or things outside the cabin. The work of the E-Distribuzione technicians to restore the service concluded by 3:00 PM . To allow the work to continue, the area remained off limits for the entire morning.
