Alghero airport would fly high without the burden of the additional tax on boarding rights. It would increase air traffic, quickly reaching the levels of the other two Sardinian terminals. This was discussed at Villa Mosca in the meeting-debate entitled “Less taxes, more flights” promoted by the Psd'Az section “Tore Pintus”.

Political representatives of the territory were invited to address the issue and thus push for the relaunch of the airport system of the Island. "A tax that brings the state 6.50 euros per passenger, while the municipality receives just 75 cents" , Antonio Moro, national president of Psd'Az, is keen to point out.

"Friuli Venezia Giulia, Abruzzo and Calabria have already cancelled it with demonstrable benefits", Moro insists. "We propose the abolition for all three Sardinian airports, but if this is not possible, then we ask to experiment with the maneuver at least at the Alghero airport, for two years" .
