Hearing, today, in the Court of Assizes in Cagliari as part of the trial on the death of Fabio Longoni , killed in the countryside of Villagrande Strisaili on November 22, 2017, and Daniele Conigiu was injured in the same ambush. As a witness, however, Alessio Mura.

At the stand Fabio Fois, 57 years old from Girasole, accused of murder and attempted murder.

A very tense confrontation took place in the courtroom, requested by the President of the Court as Conigiu, previously, had told of having gone to take two donkeys which - it will be discovered later - were the property of the accused. Mura, however, denied having taken the animals.

The Court asked Fois and the witness to stand next to each other, asking Conigiu to remember what build the killer was. The latter ruled out that it could be Mura.

In the previous hearing, Conigiu had indicated Fabio Fois - assisted by the lawyer Marcello Caddori, now under house arrest and present in the courtroom - as the perpetrator of the crime. He did not see his face because the killer was misrepresented with a balaclava and was wearing baggy clothes, but he claims to have recognized him from the gait. Fois had ended up in handcuffs three years later: for the accusation he wanted to avenge the theft of the two donkeys he owned by Longoni and Conigiu. The trial will continue on February 16 with the examination of the accused, then on March 9 and 30 it will be the turn of the defense witnesses, while the discussion of the prosecutor will begin on April 4.
