Farewell to Nicolina Brignone, the oldest woman in the town

Pula says goodbye to the oldest woman in the town: Nicolina Brignone died today at the age of 104. The woman had reached the enviable milestone last August, when the mayor, Walter Cabasino, also arrived at her house in Santa Margherita to wish her best wishes. Nicolina Brignone lived, cared for by the loving care of a niece, with her 98-year-old sister, and was considered the historical memory of the village, where she had arrived after leaving Tunisia. With the death of the 104-year-old, one of the last witnesses of Pula's agricultural past, and the birth of its tourist development, disappears.
