A man and a woman were injured. She was rescued and accompanied with the helicopter rescue to the Brotzu hospital, reportedly suffering various fractures . The man was allegedly injured in the foot by a splinter.
The explosion could have been caused by vapors that developed in the engine compartment . A story still to be clarified in detail.
On site the Harbor Master's Office, the Fire Brigade and the Carabinieri of the station and of the operational-mobile radio unit of the Compagnia di San Vito with Major Massimo Meloni. The investigations are coordinated by the men of the Coast Guard Harbor Master's Office .
It appears that the explosion did not cause any further damage to nearby boats.
